Pharmacy

At Trigg county Hospital medication safety is always our top priority. We maintain a registered pharmacist on staff on a daily basis to help us meet the goal of safe, reliable patient care. The pharmacists are available to answer patient questions and provide drug counseling. We provide a full spectrum of prospective drug review to ensure each patient receives the appropriate therapy during their stay.

For our Emergency department and inpatients we provide unit dose distribution and IV admixture as well as pharmacokinetic and clinical consultation with other health care professionals. We also provide drug information consultation with each inpatient upon discharge. We know how important it is for patients to understand medication regimens prescribed for them after release from Trigg County Hospital.

Trigg County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility located near beautiful Lake Barkley and scenic Land Between the Lakes. The hospital opened its doors to the citizens and visitors of Trigg County and the surrounding area on April 22nd, 1952. That day, Former Kentucky Governor, Lawrence Wetherby, made a statement which still very much describes Trigg County Hospital to this day: "There are larger hospitals in the world, but none more efficient or beautiful."
