Patient Registration & Admission

Trigg County Hospital Business Office Department exists to support the mission, vision and values of our facility. This includes assisting patients through admission and registration. We will admit and treat all persons regardless of race, ethnic background, sex, national origin, handicap or religious creed.

You or your legal representative will go through the registration process upon arrival to Trigg County Hospital. The Registration Clerk is required to ask detailed questions to ensure accurate recording of your visit, to include patient identification and insurance information. Obtaining the most up-to-date and correct information will help our staff better service you.

You or your legal representative will be asked to sign authorization which may include forms such as Assignment of Benefits, Consent for Treatment, Financial Agreements, and General Condition of Admission. Registration staff will be happy to address any questions related to these forms or this process.

For outpatient services, you may check-in at the Information Desk between the hours of 7:30 am- 4:00 pm which is located at the main entrance of the building. Once signed in, you will be assisted by a Registration Clerk. In order to expedite the registration process, please, provide staff with physician order forms, photo ID, and insurance cards at time of service. We suggest arriving 30 minutes prior to scheduled services such as outpatient surgery or radiology services and 15-20 minutes prior to non-scheduled service such as lab services.

If you are admitted, you will receive an identification bracelet. We ask that this bracelet not be removed as it is for your safety. Additionally, you will receive a patient packet with information regarding your patient rights and responsibilities, educational materials, and other information related to your admission.

Insurance

Insurance Companies often require pre-certification or prior authorization for some services. This pre-certification is obtained by the referring doctor's office. As part of plan requirements, your insurance company may deny services if an approval is not received. For your convenience, please, check with your doctor's office to verify that pre-certification or prior authorization has been obtain and is listed on the physician order. Additionally, you are responsible for understanding your insurance benefits. For questions, please contact the customer services phone number listed on the back of your insurance card.

Payments

Insurance Companies often require that you to pay co-payments or meet deductibles. We will ask you for the estimated amount due prior or at the time of receiving non-emergency or elective services.
