Medical Scribe - Primary Care
JOB SUMMARY: Accompany physician into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician's encounter with the patient and others present. List all proper diagnoses and symptoms as well as follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician. Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc. Document any procedures performed by the physician. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED required; Six months experience as a Medical Scribe preferred; Medical Assistant certification and BLS required; Previous experience in a medical office setting required.

Trigg County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility located near beautiful Lake Barkley and scenic Land Between the Lakes. The hospital opened its doors to the citizens and visitors of Trigg County and the surrounding area on April 22nd, 1952. That day, Former Kentucky Governor, Lawrence Wetherby, made a statement which still very much describes Trigg County Hospital to this day: "There are larger hospitals in the world, but none more efficient or beautiful."
