Quality Assurance/Infection Prevention Coordinator - Quality Assurance
JOB SUMMARY: Primarily responsible for coordination of Infection Prevention Activities.
Manage and ensuring reporting of all reportable infectious diseases according to Regulation.
Maintain patient data, track results and address lab results with patient and patient provider.
Coordinate, implement Infection Prevention activities, protocols and policy development;
Monitor and address all areas to ensure infection prevention, clean and safe environment.
Ensure key data metrics regarding Infection Prevention are collected, analyzed, reported and
utilized to address Performance Improvement. Coordination and implementation of the
Antibiotic Stewardship Committee activities and protocols. Responsible for the coordination
of abstraction and reporting of quality data metrics: Complete routine abstraction and
submission of required quality and performance data to outside sources; Analyze and utilize
data to drive quality improvement and performance activities. Collaborate with the Nursing
and Compliance/Quality to address and manage the following: Patient Care
Committee/Quality Assurance-Performance Improvement; Assist in review and follow-up
of occurrences and complaints; Initiation and monitoring of various quality assurance and
performance improvement activities to include partnering with Dept Directors;
Development and completion of staff training activities. Responsible for assisting Dept
Directors in the evaluation of systems and processes. Assist Case Manager/Patient
Navigator and Chief Nursing Officer in Utilization and Risk Management review.
Coordinate Nursing Documentation Peer Review Process; Assist with other quality
initiatives as assigned. Promote and monitor implementation of Merit-based Incentive
Program System; Promoting Interoperability activities. Assist in the promotion of
hospital and clinic services as assigned. Assist and/or lead public education activities to
include Community Health Needs Assessment goals. This listing is not all inclusive and
there may be other duties assigned related to this position.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required.
Must be licensed RN in Commonwealth of Kentucky. Masters in Nursing a plus. 2-3 years
of experience in a related area preferred. BLS required. Experience and skill using
computer systems (Word & Excel) & programs, electronic medical records, and great
communication & leadership skills.

Trigg County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility located near beautiful Lake Barkley and scenic Land Between the Lakes. The hospital opened its doors to the citizens and visitors of Trigg County and the surrounding area on April 22nd, 1952. That day, Former Kentucky Governor, Lawrence Wetherby, made a statement which still very much describes Trigg County Hospital to this day: "There are larger hospitals in the world, but none more efficient or beautiful."
