Billing Specialist - Primary Care
-Responsible for coordinating of billing functions with outsourced billing company
-Coordinate billing for all primary care services
-Assist in working denied and aging insurance claims timely
-Follow-up on accounts completed from insurance ticklers and emails
-Insurance correspondence is evaluated and requested information is supplied in a timely manner
-Responsible for collections and billing of contract accounts
-Manage bad debt accounts
-Ensure medical records requested are completed when requested
-Enter or adjust patient charges and post payments when needed
-Update system item master as required
-Serve as a resource for patients and insurance companies in regards to all billing denial questions and issues
-Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate�s Degree Preferred. Prior medical billing/invoicing experience (2-4 years preferred). Previous Medicare and private pay experience preferred. Knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes a plus. Proven customer service skills. Able to work in a high volume/fast-paced environment. Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information. Prior computer experience.

Trigg County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility located near beautiful Lake Barkley and scenic Land Between the Lakes. The hospital opened its doors to the citizens and visitors of Trigg County and the surrounding area on April 22nd, 1952. That day, Former Kentucky Governor, Lawrence Wetherby, made a statement which still very much describes Trigg County Hospital to this day: "There are larger hospitals in the world, but none more efficient or beautiful."
