Medical Surgical Unit

The Medical Surgical Unit has a 25 bed capacity which includes 5 private rooms. Theses rooms are designed to care for patients with medical surgical needs. In addition, 4 telemetry beds are available, monitored 24 hours a day. Our nursing staff consisting of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Certified Nurse Aides work with the patient's health care provider to develop a plan of care individualized for each of them.

Trigg County Hospital is pleased to announce that we have begun renovating inpatient rooms for the comfort of our patients. Some of these enhancements include:

Stryker electric beds equipped with built in scales and hand held remotes for patient convenience
Two beds contain state of the art air rotation mattresses that promote healthy skin integrity. In addition, patients can be automatically repositioned with the push of a button
Night stands, bedside tables and high back chairs for patients use as well as guests
Flat screen televisions
Dry erase boards to promote staff/patient/family communication
Guest pullout beds for the comfort of "stay over" family members
New window treatments to allow privacy and promote a better sleeping environment

Trigg County Hospital is dedicated to serve the people of our community with quality health care.

Trigg County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility located near beautiful Lake Barkley and scenic Land Between the Lakes. The hospital opened its doors to the citizens and visitors of Trigg County and the surrounding area on April 22nd, 1952. That day, Former Kentucky Governor, Lawrence Wetherby, made a statement which still very much describes Trigg County Hospital to this day: "There are larger hospitals in the world, but none more efficient or beautiful."
