Food and Nutrition Services

The Dietary Department at Trigg County Hospital provides patient meals meeting the individual nutritional needs of each patient. Cafeteria services for our employees and visitors of the hospital are also available as well as vending services for snacks and drinks.

Our registered dietitian is available for outpatient medical nutritional therapy (MNT). MNT is one-on-one nutrition counseling for conditions such as diabetes, heart disease and obesity. Your physician can refer you for an appointment for MNT. Our dietitian also provides inpatient nutrition assessments and education.

Breakfast: M - F, 6:30am - 9:15am
Lunch: M - F, 11am - 1pm
Vending: 24 hours/day

Trigg County Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility located near beautiful Lake Barkley and scenic Land Between the Lakes. The hospital opened its doors to the citizens and visitors of Trigg County and the surrounding area on April 22nd, 1952. That day, Former Kentucky Governor, Lawrence Wetherby, made a statement which still very much describes Trigg County Hospital to this day: "There are larger hospitals in the world, but none more efficient or beautiful."
